Euclid Beach Neighborhood Plan

Greater Collinwood Development Corporation and the City of Cleveland, in collaboration with Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and Western Reserve Land Conservancy, initiated a neighborhood plan for the Euclid Beach Neighborhood to guide development and investment in the future. The planning process includes extensive public engagement to understand the community today and their future vision. Continue scrolling to learn more about the plan and get involved!

“This has been more than 70 years in the making. Plans go back to 1949 to create this as a contiguous park that joins Euclid Beach, Villa Angela and Wildwood. Today we have an opportunity to realize that. This is the opportunity to improve not only the site at Euclid Beach but create connections and new recreation opportunities for Greater Collinwood and neighboring communities. This plan - supported by a wide array of credible Greater Cleveland organizations - is well-designed and thoughtful. It needs to be implemented. I wholeheartedly endorse the recommendations included in the plan.”

– Cleveland City Councilman Mike Polensek

“The Euclid Beach Neighborhood Plan will create a vibrant future for Greater Collinwood. Smart planning and strong partnerships are critical to achieving our collective goal. We are proud to be leading a comprehensive housing study for the North Shore Collinwood neighborhood which will promote a mixed income community that will allow a diverse group of residents to share in all the amenities that Collinwood has to offer.”

– Tania Menesse, President and CEO, Cleveland Neighborhood Progress

“Cleveland Metroparks has stewarded Euclid Beach, Villa Angela and Wildwood Parks for nearly a decade. Even prior to that, conversations around the future use of neighboring parcels of land had been taking place within the community. Cleveland Metroparks is excited about its role in partnering and investing in east side lakefront opportunities, including continuing to establish Euclid Beach, Villa Angela and Wildwood Parks as a regionally significant destination for public lakefront access, recreation and community connections. We look forward to working with the community on the next steps relative to the recommendations of the proposed Euclid Beach Neighborhood Plan.”

- Brian M. Zimmerman, CEO of Cleveland Metroparks

“We have asked the community for their input, and they have provided it. The Euclid Beach Neighborhood Plan is a catalyst for smart city planning and economic development in the Greater Collinwood community. We vow to continue treating the residents of Euclid Beach Mobile Home Community with the respect and kindness they deserve. In addition to a tenants-only meeting planned for next week, we will work with each of the tenants to create a transition plan that is fair and equitable.”
