About the Plan
The Euclid Beach Neighborhood Plan encompasses a 28-acre site located along the shore of Lake Erie between Cleveland Metroparks’ Euclid Beach, Villa Angela, and Wildwood Parks on the west and east, and within the North Shore Collinwood neighborhood in Cleveland. The mobile home park, formerly home to the Euclid Beach Amusement Park from 1895 to 1969, was purchased by Western Reserve Land Conservancy in December 2021 to help shape its future through a sensitive approach and inclusive public role in the process. The site holds a rich history, proud resident base, and tremendous opportunity for community enrichment and regional draw. The project presents many layers of complexity, touching several facets of the neighborhood including housing, the Lakeshore Boulevard commercial corridor, and connectivity of open space assets while incorporating guidance from various governmental and local stakeholders.
